I shot these through our kitchen door so they came out not badly considering. I always tend to forget about photographing our more common birds so thought I would try these for a change. The Robin was taken with a 500mm lens at f/7.1, 1/250s at ISO 1000 while the Great Tit was taken with the same lens at f/6.3, 1/800s at ISO 1000. Both needed a little bit of lightening up but were otherwise pretty good.
I am an amateur photographer who is also a Chartered Geographer (GIS) with his own part-time consultancy business and I work as an estate manager for a national conservation charity in Scotland. I am based in Lochalsh, Wester Ross, Scotland, just next to the Isle of Skye.
