Not the greatest day for being out and about for photography today but I noticed some Dandelion Clocks by the road side near our house and thought I would try and get a nice close-up shot. The above shot is heavily cropped but came out quite nicely. I also tried converting this to B&W (see below) and I quite like that as it focuses your attention on the patterns of the seed heads. I also edited a few cropped less and I like the colour option better for these, but the sharp versus the soft focus effect is also interesting.
I am an amateur photographer who is also a Chartered Geographer (GIS) with his own part-time consultancy business and I work as an estate manager for a national conservation charity in Scotland. I am based in Lochalsh, Wester Ross, Scotland, just next to the Isle of Skye.
